I've Changed My Political Label

I've changed my political label on facebook to 1 Corinthians 8:2.

Studying the book of Matthew really got me thinking about the fate of hypocrites.

After some of the things I have witnessed coming from the conservative side of the political isle I can no longer associate myself with that label.

Just like I got rid of the liberal label of my youth, I am getting rid of the conservative label.

I only want to be known as a Christ follower, an Evangelical Christian, and when I watch the news I will be looking only for the truth.

Both sides of the political isle have really lost their ever-loving minds!

The icing on the cake for me are all the hateful negative comments coming from conservative circles about Nelson Mandela.

It's the same feeling I get when liberals accuse conservatives of being racist.

I have seen some really dumb ideas come out of liberal think tanks and lately I’ve been witnessing a lot of dumb ideas coming out of conservative think tanks.

It’s a vicious cycle of back and forth gone wrong and I think I’m done with political labels all together.

I love God and I only want to be known by Him.

“The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know.” 1 Corinthians 8:2

Nelson Mandela Bio and Christian Values

It’s amazing to me how many people out there do not understand Nelson Mandela’s journey and how he turned his life and the temperature of a nation completely upside down. I have found many wonderful tributes as well as a Biography article that goes on for many pages.

President George Bush signed a bill that removed him from our terrorist watch list in 2008. The only reason he was on that list is because of the fight against South Africa’s apartheid regime. I believe they classified that as sabotage.

Racial segregation was legalized back then and I’m not nor will I ever be okay with segregation of any kind. Anyone who has ever endorsed a whites-only rule is just plain wrong.

Rest in Peace, Nelson Mandela

Rest In Peace Nelson Mandela

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

Put the "Christ" Back In Christians

Theological debates gone wrong, legalism/man-made rules within churches all over the world, misunderstood bible doctrine turned upside down are a few things that really irk me. Christianity is not about religion. It’s about a relationship.
