Remember “the new civility?” Me, neither. Instead of having the UN monitor our elections, maybe some of our political activists need to be monitored by babysitters. That might have prevented the beating of the Wisconsin man who tried to stop two men from stealing his Romney yard sign. Or the truck covered with Obama stickers from dumping nails into the parking lot at a Tea Party rally in Racine. Or the burning of American flags and Romney signs in the yard of a veteran in Florida. But maybe the least help to Obama’s cause came from the vandal who keyed the word “Obama” into the paint of two cars outside a house with a Romney sign in Alta Loma, California. One of the cars belonged to a couple who actually supported Obama. They were just staying with their Romney-supporting in-laws because… they’re both currently unemployed. No word on whether they still support Obama. ~Mike Huckabee

Early Voting In Nebraska

The line was long at the Douglas County Election Commission here in Omaha Nebraska but we were determined to see it through to the end. We took our daughters with us so they could have an educational experience about what it's like to vote in the United States of America. Plus, the lines are just going to get worse the closer we get to Election Day.

While we were standing in line there was a young girl about four or five people ahead of us who really needed to shut her mouth. My young girls took it upon themselves to plug their ears because every other word coming out of her mouth was nothing but filth. She was cussing up a storm! She needed her mouth pottied and her butt spanked.

When we got inside our 8 year old went with me and the 6 year old went with their Dad. Overall, I think it was a positive experience for them minus the potty mouth. I showed them the form along with the ballot and explained what we were doing by filling out the bubbles on the form. We also allowed them to turn our ballots in for us and they got to pick up "I Voted Today" stickers.

I'm still in awe that our elected officials here in Nebraska want a 100% raise as well as 3 consecutive terms instead of 2 consecutive terms. My husband hasn't had a raise in YEARS because in this economy you don't get raises. In this economy you get to keep your job. Prices are going up in quite a lot of things and they want a 100% raise. They want you and me to pay for that. NO! I would prefer to increase our tithe because that is who is getting hit the hardest. And NO, I don’t want Govt intervention because most things they touch by way of “social programming” winds up being a big waste of corruption. My help comes from the LORD the maker of heaven and earth, NOT Govt.

Have you voted  yet? If so, what was your experience?

Sign The Petition Telling The UN To Keep Out Of U.S. Elections!

October 22, 2012

Dear Representative Terry:
Dear Senator Nelson:
Dear Senator Johanns:

We the undersigned call on the governor of our states to refuse to permit election monitors from the United Nations or The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to monitor the polling places in their respective states. We do not need the U.N. interfering with our elections. International Courts/The United Nations have NO business getting involved in OUR election process. The United Nations does not have jurisdiction on OUR soil. This has been commissioned by groups such as the NAACP & the ACLU, etc. The left doesn't know if they are coming or going. We should all be outraged!!! The United Nations will NOT police me! They don't want voter ID but they do want the UN. They have lost their damn minds!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Angela S.

Voter Fraud in the United States

Dead people to the tune of 900 have already voted in the state of North Carolina. How special! I wonder how many dead people will vote here in Nebraska.

Malala Yousafzai Update

Keep the prayers coming for 14-year-old Malala Yousafzai, they’re working. Malala Yousafzai became a national hero in Pakistan when she stood up to the Taliban and blogged in favor of girls being able to go to school. But several cowardly Taliban gunmen attacked her school bus and shot Malala in the head and neck. They threatened that if she lived, they’d attack her again because she’s spreading “secular ideas.” Their religion apparently frowns on letting girls go to school, but approves of murdering them. Monday, Malala was flown to England for surgery, but also to get her 4,000 miles away from Pakistan. Even there, people claiming to be her relatives showed up at the hospital, but were detained by police as a precaution. The good news: she’s not fully conscious, but latest word is she’s out of her coma and appears to have no paralysis, and, unlike her attackers, no brain damage.

Get up on your Soapbox #6

Hatred is a bitter pill to swallow; especially for the people afflicted by it. More often than not, hatred is the confluence of fear, lies and ignorance into a synchronistic amalgamation of flawed reasoning that cannot withstand critical analysis, but is embraced by those predisposed to it in order to justify their insipid existence.

Nowhere is there a more representative example of this than those espousing emancipation for those who are enslaved only by ignorance and lack of preparation. Which brings me to my point: It is oft times easier to hate than to initiate growth. Hatred becomes both a cloak to conceal fear and a robe to justify failure.

Slavery ended over 140-plus years ago. Jim Crow and forced segregation ended 40-plus years ago, except for the self-imposed segregation of today’s black students on college campuses. To acknowledge that there is nothing blacks cannot do that any other person can would be to acknowledge the civil-rights battle as defined decades ago is over and that we have indeed overcome.

It is laughably nauseating to hear Will Smith, Spike Lee and Jesse Jackson – all of whom live and travel commensurate with the top 1 percent of wealth in the world – tell how the white man is holding blacks back. Allowing none of these three are card-carrying members of Mensa International, why were they capable, while arguing that others are not?

If a white family is denied the purchasing of a particular home, is it because they are white or because they do not qualify due to credit or financing issues? If a white group is unable to effect an agreement for the purchase of a pro-sports franchise, is it because they are white or because there are other mitigating circumstances? If a white woman is unable to obtain a new car loan, is it because she is white and a woman or because there are other issues? For each of the aforementioned questions, the answer would be that there were other issues. Why then would each of the aforementioned refusals be race based if referencing a black person?

We have heard racism was responsible for the slow response to Katrina in New Orleans – what was the reason for a truly slow response in the aftermath of hurricanes in North and South Carolina and Florida? If racism was responsible for death of blacks in New Orleans, what was responsible for the deaths of whites in Mississippi and Alabama? What was responsible for the deaths of white people in New Orleans … or perhaps they were warned ahead of time and got out? (Sarcasm intended.)

There are more so-called poor who are white than black. There are more white students denied acceptance to the school of their choice than blacks. More white coaches are turned away and more whites are denied loans ad nauseam than blacks. Why is it mitigating circumstances for them and racism for blacks?

The osmotic transience of this pestiferous rational is rife among those today who would rather assign blame for their circumstances than take responsibility for same. Life is about choices. It is also, believe it or not – like it or not – about breaks and determination without guarantees.

Ignorance is a major stumbling block even for those of presumed intelligence pursuant to issues of race. None are served by attributing that which was corrected more than a century ago to the poor choices of someone else today.

It is not a revising of history – nor a wink and a nod to slavery as being a good thing – but suffice it to say every nation on Earth at some point in their history participated in slavery, including Africa and Africans. Where is the wringing of hands and wails of foul pursuant to Africa’s complicity in slavery? Is it because there is nothing to be gained by trying to shame Africa? Is it only white guilt that matters?

At some point in the history of the world, people of every race known were slaves on some level. The lineage of Christ was protected through – and arguably at times because of – slavery. I am not singing the praises of slavery as a thing to be desired. I am however saying it happened – it is over. I was never a slave, none of my friends were slaves – praise God for His matchless grace. It is an utter contempt for modernity to view it any other way – not to mention contempt for triumph over suffering.

For those wishing to wallow in misery and despair, while longing for that which was long ago granted by the Constitution, please do so in silence. Some of us are studying in this library called life and we find your insobriety annoying.

Get up on your Soapbox #5

OK this is something I have been very passionate about the last 4 years. When Obama was elected the first time the only thing he stood for was hope and change. Nothing about how he was going to accomplish everything. In fact I saw an interview the other day where he said if he didn't get things fixed in 4 years he did not deserve a second term. I decided to give him a chance but in my opinion his policies have failed.

I am tired of being called names because I do not agree with people's views on Obama. I will be honest up until recently I would have voted for Mickey Mouse over Obama but I have been researching Romney and what he stands for and while I do not agree with all of his policies I do believe that he is what this country needs.

I also believe that Bush got a bad wrap and is being blamed for things that were out of his control. If you feel the need to debate this issue with me or disagree with me on my posts that is fine but if you want me to respect your opinion then you should have a reason for that opinion  Not just say Romney is a liar with no proof of his lies because I can prove to you that Obama is a liar as well and will post the facts to prove it.

I don't get all of my information from any one news source I can post things from CNN, ABC, NBC to prove that he has lied during his debates and during his presidency. He wants to continue to blame Bush for things that were actually the result of democratic policies. Feel free to debate this with me but you better be able to back up your comments with sources that have facts and figures. Because I can back up my statements which have helped me to form my opinion on who I think is the most capable to run the country for a minimum of the next 4 years.

“Small pockets of racists in America are completely on the left” –Ann Coulter (I agree w/her!)

Last month someone told me I should hang myself because they didn’t like what I had to say about Obama. On the night of the 2nd presidential debate a friend was called the “N” word because someone didn’t like what he had to say about Obama. Two nights ago a friend’s mother was called a “racist bitch” by a fourth grade teacher (not in Omaha) because she didn’t like how the discussion was going concerning Obama. I understand where Ann Coulter is coming from and understand a little better what the uproar is all about now. I think I will go buy her book today, too.

Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it. Allow us to assume for a moment that were true. Take this moment to say the Pledge of Allegiance aloud. At any point does the term "Democracy" ever become part of it? Why do you think that is? It's due to the fact that our forefathers detested the thought of a "Democracy". Are you aware as to why? The simple fact that it is MOB rule.

Lets say for instance a small town loves how beautiful a mans wife was. The MAJORITY (Democracy) are men. Within that town, they decide to put up a vote to share that mans wife. In a "Democracy", when the votes are counted, and the result is, the town agrees to share the wife. There is nothing the husband and wife can do. It is mandated, a law is passed, and now she becomes "PUBLIC" property. There is no recourse. Hey everyone voted right?

In a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, "Individual rights" are secure. Today it has become MOB rule. This was the problem with all governments up to the point when this CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC was created. It was the reason the PEOPLE were greater than the government. They were endowed by their creator with certain UNALIENABLE rights. Monarchies and Democracy's had existed prior to this CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. Our forefathers where aware of this...

This is where there really is a difference in the philosophy of the political parties. Think about this for moment. There are citizens who want the people to have more power, the democracy to be stronger. We could call them, "Democratic". Then there are people who want a strong authoritarian state. They want to give as much power as possible to the republic. Let's call them, "Republican".

Philosophy is personal belief. Like that of a town full of men who adore a beautiful mans wife. The Constitution is law. The law of the land. Where each person has the UNALIENABLE right to defend their property and personal belief. The right to pursue happiness and the right to a trial by jury. DUE PROCESS. You can't just vote that away in a Constitutional Republic. But you sure can if enough ass hats think it's a good idea in a Democracy. Dude or dude'et, do some reading on our forefathers. Because a supreme court has been selected based strictly on party politics, does not mean they understand the rule of law. The law of the land, the supreme law. The US Constitution. This should help guide our principals.

Any law passed unconstitutional is not law. (Obama-care)

Typical Bob Kerrey of Nebraska

The only time people like Bob Kerrey vilify the rich is when they can’t convince them to agree with their ideas and policies that adversely affect our economy OR when the rich put their foot down as to what they will do with the money they earned. Class warfare only comes up when liberal opposition cannot be cajoled, manipulated and controlled. I got a booklet today in the mail that said: “Bob Kerrey, Country first. Deb Strobel Fischer, Billionaires first.” Riiiiiiiight. I tossed it into my shredder with the rest of the garbage I get in the mail from the Nebraska Democratic Party.

Dear Hollywood Actresses

Romney Won the Debate Last Night

I enjoy social networking during these political debates. What's amazing to me are all the people who complain that politics is blowing up their news feed on Facebook. I'm actually glad to see that because it means that our country is engaged and possibly paying attention. If you don't like politics blowing up your facebook feed then maybe you ought to wait until these important events are over and you won't have to subject yourself to it OR figure out how to use your Facebook account properly and then maybe you won't be such a nag with your complaining. :)

Here were a few of my Facebook status updates for those of you who are not connected to me on Facebook, Google+ or Twitter. This will give you a sense of what I was thinking as it was happening during the debate starting at the beginning of the debate going all the way to the end.

  • Let the games begin!
  • No more freaking bailouts!
  • No more Solyndra-like "investments" !
  • Candy Crowley - Pfft!
  • I don't need Govt telling me what kind of vehicle to buy! Hello!?
  • Losing in Solyndra-like deals = not winning!
  • Energy Independent - Yes!
  • Go Romney!
  • Oh, so Romney was responsible even though he wasn't President. That's why the gas prices are higher today? Really? The President is laughable!
  • "Winning the future" - Got your bingo cards handy??
  • Fair Tax Baby!
  • Health insurance premiums are up and they keep going Up!
  • Yay! I like Romney's tax plan so far - yes I do!
  • No more Govt spending. No more Govt borrowing! Balance the budget! Hell Yeah!
  • Here comes the class warfare lecture....get ready!!
  • Oh...so the "wealthy" need to do a little bit more. What they're doing is not enough. Coveting and stealing is not moral Mr. President! Neither is killing our small businesses! Hello!?
  • Govt picking "winners" and "losers" is not the answer!
  • Obama wants to take take take so he can spend spend spend. #WinningTheFuture
  • Sketchy? Bahahahahahahaha!! #Obama
  • Flexible work schedules - I like it!
  • Oh please. The Planned Parenthood lie. (sigh) #IAmProLifeThankYouVeryMuch
  • The format of this debate is horrible.
  • Romney is not George Bush. That question is a waste of time. Anyone who is paying attention to politics knows that one! Duh!?
  • Well...at least Obama is consistent about using the Bush-card.
  • "Reducing our deficit in a sensible way" ? Did Obama just say that?? REALLY?? (sigh)
  • Yep, the middle class is getting crushed. #TrueStory
  • Yes! We need to put a stop to illegal immigration! Thank You!
  • Drug dealers are hurting our communities! Hello!?
  • I agree with Arizona! lol
  • Isn't it interesting that Candy doesn't want to allow Romney to rebuke Obama's lies? I'm glad that Romney is rebuking them anyway! Go Romney!
  • Who is it that denied enhance security and why? That was the question to Obama just now. Let's see if he'll answer the question.
  • Oh...we are at war in Libya...who knew? Obama just said that! Doh!
  • The buck stops at your desk Obama! Not Hillary Clinton! Although, you did appoint her to that position!
  • Yep, terrorists attacked us on 9/11/2012.
  • Yep, Hillary Clinton works for you buddy! You're the President!
  • Candy Crowley...SMH. So sad.
  • I'm a woman. Barack Obama does not speak for me. Liberalism doesn't speak for me either. #WarOnWomen
  • If you want to change the culture of violence then you need to start calling things what they are! Bullying is not okay! Domestic Violence is not okay! It's okay to use the word "Terrorist" when it applies!
  • Romney sounds pretty bi-partisan to me. He got people to work together in his state. That's a uniter, the opposite of the dividing that's been going on with Obama.
  • Come on Candy! Be a strong woman! Put your foot down!
  • I'm so sick of Govt telling us what to do and how to do it! Hello!? I hope all of you Constitutionalists are paying attention!
  • Govt has a rope around the necks of hard-working small business owners! I hope they stop it!
  • Class warfare. So sick of it. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah.
  • WhooHoo!! I believe in God, too!! My Cup Overflows!!
  • And people who take personal responsibility were not offended by what Romney said! I agree with Romney!
  • Did I blow up your news feed? He He He!! ;)
  • Let's go back to the Rose Garden, shall we?
  • The President lied about Libya but we already knew that!

Will you be watching the Ryan/Biden VP Debate? Ready for those Gaffes?

I'll be watching the debate tonight. I wonder why they decided to show it on a Thursday night? Last time I raced home from church on a Wednesday night and caught the last 20 minutes of the Presidential Debate.

I could not log into Twitter at all. Twitter can't seem to handle me during these debates. I always wind up in Twitmo. Can you believe it? Time will tell if I am able to Tweet tonight. If I can't Tweet I'll probably blow up my Facebook page.

It amazed me last time how many people bitched, moaned, and groaned about all the political comments that were going on through their Facebook news feed. You know, the same people that never have anything of relevance to say who want to post status updates about how they just scratched their butts...complaining about others who happen to be engaged in what's happening in the world. I had to laugh!

Stephanie Cutter....WOW...what can I say about her except that her nose keeps growing. Everything that comes out of her lying liar hole is nothing but lies and spin to attempt to make the facts not facts. Do they realize that competent intellectuals are watching them make fools of themselves on national television??  Today is was pretty sunny in Omaha. People like Stephanie Cutter will disagree and a tell me that I'm living in a fantasy land...as her nose continues to grow.

I was watching some earlier clips of the Vice Presidential Debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. She cleaned his clock! Can you imagine what Paul Ryan will do to Joe Biden tonight during this Vice Presidential Debate?? Joe Biden is about to get his ass handed to him on a platter. Oh, and please don't make me tell you I told you so.

From David Siegel To His Employees

Subject: Message from David Siegel

Date:Mon, 08 Oct 2012 13:58:05 -0400 (EDT)

From: [David Siegel]

To: [All employees]

To All My Valued Employees,

As most of you know our company, Westgate Resorts, has continued to succeed in spite of a very dismal economy. There is no question that the economy has changed for the worse and we have not seen any improvement over the past four years. In spite of all of the challenges we have faced, the good news is this: The economy doesn't currently pose a threat to your job. What does threaten your job however, is another 4 years of the same Presidential administration. Of course, as your employer, I can't tell you whom to vote for, and I certainly wouldn't interfere with your right to vote for whomever you choose. In fact, I encourage you to vote for whomever you think will serve your interests the best.

However, let me share a few facts that might help you decide what is in your best interest. The current administration and members of the press have perpetuated an environment that casts employers against employees. They want you to believe that we live in a class system where the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. They label us the "1%" and imply that we are somehow immune to the challenges that face our country. This could not be further from the truth. Sure, you may have heard about the big home that I'm building. I'm sure many people think that I live a privileged life. However, what you don't see or hear is the true story behind any success that I have achieved.

I started this company over 42 years ago. At that time, I lived in a very modest home. I converted my garage into an office so I could put forth 100% effort into building a company, which by the way, would eventually employ you. We didn't eat in fancy restaurants or take expensive vacations because every dollar I made went back into this company. I drove an old used car, and often times, I stayed home on weekends, while my friends went out drinking and partying. In fact, I was married to my business — hard work, discipline, and sacrifice. Meanwhile, many of my friends got regular jobs. They worked 40 hours a week and made a nice income, and they spent every dime they earned. They drove flashy cars and lived in expensive homes and wore fancy designer clothes. My friends refinanced their mortgages and lived a life of luxury. I, however, did not. I put my time, my money, and my life into this business —-with a vision that eventually, some day, I too, will be able to afford to buy whatever I wanted. Even to this day, every dime I earn goes back into this company. Over the past four years I have had to stop building my dream house, cut back on all of my expenses, and take my kids out of private schools simply to keep this company strong and to keep you employed.

Just think about this – most of you arrive at work in the morning and leave that afternoon and the rest of your time is yours to do as you please. But not me- there is no "off" button for me. When you leave the office, you are done and you have a weekend all to yourself. I unfortunately do not have that freedom. I eat, live, and breathe this company every minute of the day, every day of the week. There is no rest. There is no weekend. There is no happy hour. I know many of you work hard and do a great job, but I'm the one who has to sign every check, pay every expense, and make sure that this company continues to succeed. Unfortunately, what most people see is the nice house and the lavish lifestyle. What the press certainly does not want you to see, is the true story of the hard work and sacrifices I've made.

Now, the economy is falling apart and people like me who made all the right decisions and invested in themselves are being forced to bail out all the people who didn't. The people that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed 42 years of my life for. Yes, business ownership has its benefits, but the price I've paid is steep and not without wounds. Unfortunately, the costs of running a business have gotten out of control, and let me tell you why: We are being taxed to death and the government thinks we don't pay enough. We pay state taxes, federal taxes, property taxes, sales and use taxes, payroll taxes, workers compensation taxes and unemployment taxes. I even have to hire an entire department to manage all these taxes. The question I have is this: Who is really stimulating the economy? Is it the Government that wants to take money from those who have earned it and give it to those who have not, or is it people like me who built a company out of his garage and directly employs over 7000 people and hosts over 3 million people per year with a great vacation?

Obviously, our present government believes that taking my money is the right economic stimulus for this country. The fact is, if I deducted 50 percent of your paycheck you'd quit and you wouldn't work here. I mean, why should you? Who wants to get rewarded only 50 percent of their hard work? Well, that's what happens to me.

Here is what most people don't understand and the press and our Government has chosen to ignore — to stimulate the economy you need to stimulate what runs the economy. Instead of raising my taxes and depositing that money into the Washington black-hole, let me spend it on growing the company, hire more employees, and generate substantial economic growth. My employees will enjoy the wealth of that tax cut in the form of promotions and better salaries. But that is not what our current Government wants you to believe. They want you to believe that it somehow makes sense to take more from those who create wealth and give it to those who do not, and somehow our economy will improve. They don't want you to know that the "1%", as they like to label us, pay more than 31% of all the taxes in this country. Thomas Jefferson, the author of our great Constitution, once said, "democracy" will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."

Business is at the heart of America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate business, not kill it. However, the power brokers in Washington believe redistributing wealth is the essential driver of the American economic engine. Nothing could be further from the truth and this is the type of change they want.

So where am I going with all this? It's quite simple. If any new taxes are levied on me, or my company, as our current President plans, I will have no choice but to reduce the size of this company. Rather than grow this company I will be forced to cut back. This means fewer jobs, less benefits and certainly less opportunity for everyone.

So, when you make your decision to vote, ask yourself, which candidate understands the economics of business ownership and who doesn't? Whose policies will endanger your job? Answer those questions and you should know who might be the one capable of protecting and saving your job. While the media wants to tell you to believe the "1 percenters" are bad, I'm telling you they are not. They create most of the jobs. If you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the "1%"; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country.

You see, I can no longer support a system that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, so will your opportunities. If that happens, you can find me in the Caribbean sitting on the beach, under a palm tree, retired, and with no employees to worry about.

Signed, your boss,

David Siegel

H/T: CEO to Workers: You'll Likely Be Fired If Obama Is Re-elected

October 8, 2012

Get up on your Soapbox #3

I think it is important and you need to share if you have experienced anything like what I am about to tell you.

I was living in Tyler, TX taking care of my mother-in-law when Obama won in 2008. At the time, I told friends that I wished I could have voted for the first black President, but that I had personally vetted him extensively and I just couldn't. Still, I wished him success for the sake of the country. After all, he was promising to unite us and restore hope and transparency.

Shortly after his win, I was buying groceries in the local supermarket, casually walking up an aisle, not paying much attention to other shoppers, but it is my nature to sort of drive my cart on the right side of an aisle like I drive my car. And I am usually very deferential to other shoppers, especially elderly shoppers, helping them get stuff off the top shelves, waiting for them to pass. It is my practice to be patient like that.

I remember this incident TO THIS DAY, because I saw the event as a signal of what Obama's win could possibly hold for the future of our country.

Coming from the other end of the aisle were two large black women with several children, walking side-by-side with their carts, talking loudly. I was halfway down the aisle and moved even further over to the right since they had so many kids. And I smiled.

That wasn't enough for them.

They looked me straight in the eyes and started pushing my cart backwards, neither of them relenting and giving way to my access. Their glares dared me to resist and they effectively forced me to back all the way down the aisle. To this day, I don't know if I would have said something to them if the children had not been present. I just couldn't see making a spectacle in front of those young kids and I kept smiling at those little faces, all the while feeling VERY threatened by the two women.

But that is not the worst of what happened (and I must have backed my cart up at least 20 feet).

After I moved into the general back aisle and they passed me, one of the women got right up in my face and said, "Get used to it, bitch. Obama is the boss now. He's gonna make sure we get what we want. He's gonna put people like you in your place."

I know my mouth dropped open. I was astounded. I had never seen these women in my life. And I had never felt that much hatred directed at me by perfect strangers.

There is so much hatred circulating in our country right now. And you know me, I have a mouth and 'tude! However, I suppressed my urges for the sakes of those kids. Going forward, I'm very concerned about what may happen after November 6.

Especially if Romney wins.

But Romney HAS to win.

People who deal in hatred and race-baiting and bigotry, from any direction, are banking on Obama winning again. And they won't be happy if he doesn't. If he loses, rudeness and antagonism in the supermarket will be the least of our worries.

Have you something to share? Are you prepared for a Romney win?

Post Presidential Debate Interview

"I was pleased that I had the chance to talk about my vision for America. The president was able to answer some questions that I posed that I think Americans across the country have wanted to have answered. It was an evening of substance. I’m happy that Jim Lehrer was willing to ask us our positions on issues and we could describe those. It was not a big ‘gotcha’ night coming from the moderator, but instead a chance for the president and I to go toe-to-toe on important issues people care about … I think in the final analysis, people will decide what kind of America they want," Mitt Romney said about the first presidential debate on Wednesday night.

"Last night, the American people got to see the guy I know – a decisive, optimistic, confident leader. A person with a plan to create jobs and grow the economy," GOP vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan said in the interview with both candidates. "The president was basically saying four more years of the same and Mitt gave them a better choice."

Romney discussed the negative tact the campaign has taken at times, saying, "I do recall that in the president’s acceptance speech four years ago, he said that if you don’t have a record to run on, you attack your opponent, you try and disqualify your opponent. And early on in this campaign, there were Democrat strategists, one in particular, who said their campaign strategy was to kill Romney – hopefully not literally. This kind of character assassination is something which I think has gone way too far."

Get up on your Soapbox #2

It's been interesting watching the left react to the debate, especially Obama. Now he's not sure if he was debating the real Mitt Romney. Was he hallucinating? Our POTUS might need some professional help...ya think? Then...I saw a clip yesterday of Al Gore blaming Obama's performance on the altitude. I laughed out loud! LOL :) Now....I've been watching clips of the left say that the reason why Obama held back is because he didn't want to be accused of being "an angry black man" ... REALLY!? Are they really taking the race card up a notch??? I can't believe what I'm seeing. As if it's going to change anything for me. It changes nothing. If anything, I am more aware about the level of "intelligence" that surrounds me. (SMH) Oh and...all these people who NEVER comment on politics...now all of a sudden have an opinion BUT if I share my opinion I am "raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacist" and they are tolerant. Go Figure!?

Voices Without A Vote

These young people realize that if they don't stand up and speak out for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness today, they will be living in a very different America tomorrow.

H/T: Voices Without A Vote

It's Time for a New Path

Mitt: We are endowed by our Creator with our rights -- I believe we must maintain our commitment to religious tolerance and freedom in this country. That statement also says that we are endowed by our Creator with the right to pursue happiness as we choose. I interpret that as, one, making sure that those people who are less fortunate and can't care for themselves are cared by -- by one another. We're a nation that believes that we're all children of the same God. And we care for those that have difficulties -- those that are elderly and have problems and challenges, those that disabled, we care for them. And we look for discovery and innovation, all these things desired out of the American heart to provide the pursuit of happiness for our citizens. But we also believe in maintaining for individuals the right to pursue their dreams, and not to have the government substitute itself for the rights of free individuals. And what we're seeing right now is, in my view, a trickle-down government approach which has government thinking it can do a better job than free people pursuing their dreams. And it's not working. And the proof of that is 23 million people out of work. The proof of that is one out of six people in poverty. The proof of that is we've gone from 32 million on food stamps to 47 million on food stamps. The proof of that is that 50 percent of college graduates this year can't find work. The path we’re taking is not working. It is time for a new path.....
