2016 - Have You Seen It Yet?

There is no denying this documentary: 2016. Get out & see it while you can. I'm predicting there will be lots of "protesting" the closer we get to November. 64 people watched the 11:30 am showing on Tuesday in Omaha, Nebraska.

Condoleezza Rice Quotes #GOP2012

The young girl who could not order a hamburger from a Woolworth's lunch counter would go on to become secretary of state, yes, America has a way of making the impossible seem inevitable in retrospect. ~Condoleezza Rice

Paul Ryan Quotes #GOP2012

Without a change in Leadership, why would we expect the next four years to be any different than the last four years. ~Paul Ryan

These past four years we have suffered no shortage of words in the White House. What's missing is leadership in the White House. And the story that Barack Obama does tell, forever shifting blame to the last administration, is getting old. The man assumed office almost four years ago. Isn't it about time he assumed responsibility? ~Paul Ryan

None of us have to settle for the best this administration offers, a dull, adventureless journey from one entitlement to the next, a government-planned life, a country where everything is free but us. ~Paul Ryan

College graduates should not have to live out their 20s in their childhood bedrooms, staring up at fading Obama posters and wondering when they can move out and get going with life. ~Paul Ryan

Have you seen Obama's America yet?

I'm planning to watch it this week! How about you?

The Beginning of the End

You CANNOT legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth of out prosperity.

What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

The government CANNOT give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

You CANNOT multiply wealth by dividing it.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them; and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Borrowed Facebook Status

Borrowed this Facebook status but I don’t think they would mind me sharing....

Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog. During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?" She replied... "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people." Her parents beamed with pride! "Wow...what a worthy goal!" I said. "But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that!" I told her. "What do you mean?" she replied. So I told her, "You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I'll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out and give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house." She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?" I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party." Her parents aren't speaking to me anymore.

Obama That I Used To Know

H/T: Obama That I Used To Know - Gotye 'Somebody That I Used To Know'

Let me just state for the record…I didn’t like Obama then and I don’t like him now. He had his chance to change my mind and he squandered, wasted, threw his opportunity out the window…in a nutshell…he BLEW IT.

Paul Ryan on Feb 3rd 2010

From today's House Ways and Means Committee hearing of President Obama's FY2011 Budget.

Congressman Paul Ryan: I brought up page 146 in your budget which is your S-1 budget totals. When you take a look at this, I just find this amazing. Youve got budget totals here, which by your own admission, from your own Budget Director, and youre a smart guy, youve got smart economists over there, all of them say, that for the medium and long-run budget deficits have to get below 3% of GDP, yet this budget plan that youre bringing to us doesnt even get close to it.

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner: Youre exactly right.

Ryan: Since I have three minutes, you have this warning under here. Its like a warning on a cigarette pack. You have this little magic box underneath your budget totals that says: were going to have a commission do it. Were going to have this partisan commission, with a 2 to 1 ratio of Democrats and Republicans, that will give us a report after the election.

Geithner: Its not a 2 to 1 ratio, thats not fair. And let me say it slightly differently, were going to solve our part of the mess we inherited. We inherited a structural deficit and to bring that down, were going to have to work together.

Ryan: Why dont you solve this problem in your Budget? You run the government, if you are going to solve our fiscal situation, why dont you do that? Why dont you give us a budget that actually gets our deficits to sustainable levels?

Let me read a quote from OMB Director Peter Orszag in the Wall Street Journal: The unusual situation that the government finds itself in with other countries willing to finance U.S. debt at low rates wont last. He added, when it flips, the question is: how do you get ahead of that to avoid the downward spiral of rising interest rates, plunging dollar, a sinking economy.

Geithner: I think its a good quote, too. I agree with that.

Ryan: The vigilantes in the bond market are going to get us and the American people are going to get hurt. And so, why arent you giving us a budget - not punting to a commission - why arent you giving us a budget that using your own standards and definitions actually is sustainable?

Geithner: Congressman, we are proposing a budget that takes the huge mess we inherited and cuts that deficit dramatically.

Ryan: You can blame Bush only so long. You obviously inherited a tough situation, but you are making it worse by your own admission.

H/T: Ryan to Geithner - Why propose a budget you admit is not credible, not sustainable?

Paul Ryan destroyed Rep Debbie Wasserman-Schultz on FOX News Sunday.

H/T: Paul Ryan Destroys Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in Obamacare Debate

Paul Ryan on July 23rd 2008

Congressman Paul Ryan speaks on the floor of the House of Represenatives in opposition to H.R. 3221. This flawed housing bill serves as a bailout for big banks, mortgage lenders, and shareholders of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Ryan argues, "I represent taxpayers, not shareholders."

Fannie and Freddie remain for-profit corporations but still enjoy a Federal guarantee at the taxpayers' expense against any risk of loss. Congress only aggrevated this fundamental problem with today's bailout.

I really really really like Paul Ryan

Last night before I went to bed I noticed that Paul Ryan was trending on Twitter. This made me very happy because for Paul Ryan to trend on a Friday night out of nowhere could only mean one thing and THAT makes me extremely HAPPY because I am a BIG fan of Paul Ryan. Whoo-Hoo!!!

Doesn't Everyone?

I like to sprinkle a little first amendment and squirt a bit of free enterprise on all my sandwiches...doesn't everyone?

Who are these "anti-gay" groups?

Who are these "anti-gay" groups? I was told that Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) was one of the "anti-gay" groups. What makes them anti-gay?

Then someone else told me that Chick-fil-A financially supported organizations which advocate the murdering of homosexuals in Uganda. When I asked which organization that was I was told it was the National Organization for Marriage (NOM). I couldn't find anything about that organization advocating the murder of gay people.

Incidentally, there are a lot of things going on in Uganda that I don't agree with and certainly not the murdering of anyone. So...are these type of organizations being singled out because they are "Christian" organizations? I can't seem to get any straight answers about this and I'm suffering from Google-exhaustion trying to figure it out.

Two Huge Lies

Our culture has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone's lifestyle, you must fear them or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don't have to compromise convictions to be compassionate. ~Rick Warren

The First Amendment and Freedom of Speech - What a Concept!

I am a BIG Michelle Malkin fan! She said Chick-fil-A appreciation day was about the first amendment and free enterprise in this country. I agree wholeheartedly! She also discusses the use of social media, limited government, and people who believe in the Constitution of the United States of America. Saw a lot of people slinging words like "harm, hate, bigotry & anti-gay." It's been an interesting week.

Chick-fil-A Boycott = Massive #Fail as I knew it would be! :)

I'm surprised anyone would ask Dan Cathy what he believes it's not like they didn't already know what he might say. Hobby Lobby stores are not open on Sundays for the same reason Chick-fil-A stores are not open on that particular day. Forever 21 prints bible verses on their store bags...are we gonna run out and ask them what their opinions are on gay marriage?

What happens if they all come back and state that they believe in traditional definition of marriage being between one man and one woman. I think this country would be surprised how many Christian organizations make a difference by investing in the lives of people every day and all this outside of Govt forcing us to. In this country people can state their opinion without persecution and that is why the Chick-fil-A boycott was a complete #Fail.

The Anti-Conscience Mandate

The anti-conscience mandate is a warning sign for us all of how one-size-fits-all health care requirements will trample on religious liberty as well as individual liberty. Centralization of health care is simply incompatible with freedom—religious freedom or any type of individual freedom. The only way to restore our liberties is to repeal Obamacare.

H/T: Morning Bell: Obamacare’s Anti-Religious Freedom Mandate Starts TODAY

Read up people. Pay attention to what's going on in this country. You think Obamacare is such a great idea - it's not. You don't understand all the fine print. African-American Christians have pledged not to stand with Obama

The Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP) announced at the National Press Club on Tuesday that the grassroots group - comprised of the more than 3,000 members - is a launching a national campaign to support marriage between one man and one woman and to oppose the Obama administration’s efforts to advance same-sex marriage.

“The time has come for a broad-based assault against the power that be that wants to change our culture to one of men marrying men and women marrying women,” CAAP President William Owens said at the press conference, held to announce the Marriage Mandate campaign, which includes a petition seeking 100,000 signatures pledging support for traditional marriage.

“Mr. President, I’m not going to stand with you, and there are thousands of others across this country that are not going to stand with you with this foolishness,” Owens said.

In a press release announcing the campaign, Owens encouraged black pastors and the black community to “withdraw their support for [Obama].”

[snip]

The petition website describes CAAP as “a grassroots movement of African-American Christians who believe in traditional family values such as supporting the role of religion in American public life, protecting the lives of the unborn, and defending the sacred institution of marriage.”

It states that CAAP is not affiliated with any political party or religious denomination.
