For years people have confused the words 'help' and 'enable.'
Helping someone is doing something for someone that they cannot do for themselves.
Enabling someone is when you do something for someone that can totally do for themselves...they just choose not to.
There is a BIG difference.
If you keep enabling people then you are part of the problem and those groups of people will continue to cheat the system. Why wouldn't they? They've assumed it's FREE for the taking.
Our welfare system was never intended, in my opinion, to be a career choice.
I don't begrudge anyone who is down on their luck and needs the break BUT it's not supposed to be used for the rest of your life. You need to take the initiative, stop making excuses, and choose better for yourself.
