Quantitative Easing Explained

There are two semi foul words recited in this video so make sure small children are not around. No *f bombs though so that's good.

Don’t you just want to bang your head against the wall?

Separation of Church and State

Don't Touch My Junk!

Is the TSA out of control? What do you think?

Taxed Enough Already!

TEA = Taxed Enough Already!

There are people out there that have no idea what that’s all about.

What's Race Got to Do with It?

Larry Elder
Hey, Michael Moore! Clinton, Gore and Kerry Lost the 'White Vote,' Too

"White America does not like having a black president."

Thus pronounced Michael Moore in an appearance on "Real Time with Bill Maher." And Maher agreed, "That is the truth."

"The statistics don't lie," Moore plowed ahead. "I'm not talking about polls. I'm talking about that the young people in '08 was the only -- do you know this? -- it's the only demographic -- white demographic -- that Obama won, 18- to 29-year-olds. Every other demographic, over 29, Obama lost the white vote. Every single one."

Crime solved. Case closed. Book 'em, Danno. Except for one minor detail: No Democratic presidential candidate has won the "white vote" since 1964.

Add Obama's name to a long list of white Democrats who lost that demographic: Humphrey in 1968; McGovern in 1972; Carter in 1976 and 1980; Mondale in 1984; Dukakis in 1988; Clinton in 1992 and 1996; Gore in 2000.

In fact, white voters preferred Obama to Sen. John Kerry -- who lost the white vote by 17 points in 2004, while Obama lost it in 2008 by "only" 12 points. Obama improved on Kerry's share of the white vote in every age demographic, including the 18- to 29-year-olds (which Kerry lost).

Did "white America" temporarily forget Obama's skin color, only to remember just in time for the midterm elections? This, perhaps, explains why Obama's approval rating, post election, shot up to over 70 percent before coming down.

Obama's approval rating now stands at the low- to mid-40s. So, presumably, "white America" reverted back to its historical racism. But how does Moore explain whites like Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, with an approval rating at less than 30 percent, and Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid at 25 percent?

If "white America" dislikes having a black president, why does "white America" -- in the South, no less -- tolerate a black congressperson?

Allen West, a black Republican former lieutenant colonel, won Florida's 22nd Congressional District. Its racial demographics are 82.3 percent white, 3.8 percent black, 1.7 percent Asian, 10.7 percent Hispanic, 0.1 percent Native American and 0.2 percent other.

Tim Scott, a black Republican candidate, won South Carolina's 1st Congressional District. Its racial demographics are 74.8 percent white, 21.1 percent black, 1.3 percent Asian, 2.5 percent Hispanic, 0.4 percent Native American and 0.2 percent other.

Worse, Scott was backed by what the NAACP calls the "racist" tea party! The civil rights organization commissioned a study that purported to unmask the tea party's racism. But NAACP CEO Ben Jealous encountered unexpected skepticism when he appeared on Anderson Cooper's CNN show.

Cooper asked why the NAACP selected a "clearly left-wing group -- which is opposed to the tea party" -- to conduct the study. He said the report "does seem to use a lot of innuendo and a lot of guilt by association." Cooper played a montage of video clips showing prominent Democrats -- from the President on down -- campaigning with the mantra that it's time to "take our country back!" "Why is it when Democrats say 'take our country back,'" said Cooper, "no one says that's extreme nationalism, but when tea party supporters say it, it's ominous and racism in disguise?" Jealous stammered, stumbled and fumbled. Painful to watch.

Actor/producer/director Rob Reiner says the Tim Scott-supporting tea party is not merely racist. It is also fascist. In an appearance on Bill Maher's show, Reiner worried whether a Hitler-like charismatic leader might emerge to lead the party:

Reiner: You never get into a political discussion unless you bring the word Hitler in. You have to have Hitler, so let's put Hitler out there. Here's Hitler, OK? You have bad economic times, right? Hitler, by the way, never got more than 33 percent of the vote ever in Germany. You have bad economic times--

Maher: Well, he only had that one election, let's be honest. ... There was no 1937 election.

Reiner: He wasn't a majority guy, but he was charismatic and they were having bad economic times, just like we are now. People were out of work. They needed jobs, and a guy came along and rallied the troops. My fear is that the tea party gets a charismatic leader, because all they're selling is fear and anger, and that's all Hitler sold."

Not a "majority guy"? President Bill Clinton not only twice lost the white vote but also, like Hitler, never won the majority of the electorate -- 43 percent in 1992 and 49 percent in 1996. And the point is? Well, there is no point -- at least none one might call coherent.

A 2008 Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll asked likely voters whether they would refuse to vote for a black presidential candidate. Only 4 percent said yes -- a smaller number than would refuse to vote for a woman or a Mormon.

It's not about race. The reality is simple, if less comforting to Mr. Moore. "White America" does not even like voting for a white president -- if he is a Democrat.

Larry Elder is a syndicated radio talk show host and best-selling author. His latest book, "What's Race Got to Do with It?" is available now.

Bristol and Mark DWTS Tribute

Thank you supporters who continue to support. The haters are already pulling out all the stops this week to destroy. -Bristol Palin

"May we always be happy, and may our enemies know it!" -Bristol Palin

Keep Smiling Bristol Palin

Lots of people are outraged. That's how the cookie crumbles when you open up the phone lines to vote or to answer a poll question. That's how most of these entertainment shows operate. The contestants know this going in and at the end of the day all the money goes to charity.

I suppose if people don't like how the show operates then perhaps they should stop participating. Personally, I think it's cool that Bristol knows she's not the greatest dancer in the world yet she continues to persevere. Most people who come on the show have no clue when it comes to dance. That's the entire intrigue of the show. THAT and to see how the votes are going to tally up.

You don't think the producers knew what they were getting themselves into by inviting Bristol Palin to the show? Of course they did. That's why she was invited to participate. Even so, she is doing the show to the best of her ability. Could care less about her famous mother OR that she was a pregnant teenager. Rush Limbaugh is simply responding to all the MSNBS's, C-BS's and Huffington Chokes Folks that want to politicize the Palin name on a true entertainment program.

If people are THAT outraged by this then they should quit their bitching and pick up the phone and vote against her. They would have if they truly cared about Brandy's outstanding dance technique. In the meantime, Bristol Palin's perseverance, knowing that she's not the best at what she is doing on that show should be commended. Where would any of us be if we gave up just because someone said that we sucked at something?

I can't believe all the Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin, Palin Family haters out there. Tonight I decided to take a look and see if Bristol Palin has a Facebook page. She does. So I hopped on over and "Liked" it.

Don't let the haters get you down Bristol. Keep up the good work!

Bristol Palin Hater Drama

Do you realize today how miserable the American left is over Bristol Palin making the finals of Dancing With the Stars? They're miserable because -- well, stop and think about it, Snerdley. Half of the reason that you make the finals on this show is because the public votes. Now, Bristol Palin and her partner have gotten the lowest scores every week of any of the contestants, and yet they are in the finals. And the reason they're in the finals is 'cause America is voting for Bristol Palin, and the left is miserable. They are fit to be tied over this. You ought to see it in the entertainment stories of newspapers and websites. They're saying she's a horrible dancer, she can't dance. Brandy got thrown off the show last night, could not believe it. She has been getting tens for the last two to three weeks. But she didn't make it because the public is voting for Bristol Palin. It's not Sarah Palin. They're voting for Bristol Palin, and Sarah's in the audience. The reason they're upset is because they have done their best to make this Palin family persona non grata. They've tried to trash it, besmirch it, impugn it, and the American public is now en masse voting for Bristol Palin. She's in the finals. She's one of three couples that will be in the finals on Monday night. They're fit to be tied. You can read about this in entertainment sections of newspapers on websites today.

I knew it, my friends, I knew it. The hapless Contessa Brewer on MSNBC just now sobbing and whining and moaning about the fact that Bristol Palin was victorious on Dancing with the Stars last night. She's alleging a conspiracy. The hapless Contessa Brewer says that you Tea Party people are jamming the lines of other contestants such as Brandy's so that she can't receive votes, and in this way cheating is occurring. The Tea Party is cheating, sabotaging other contestants. Look, the truth of the matter is the Tea Party, if they're doing anything, are too busy voting for Bristol Palin to tie up anybody else's phone lines. Kathryn and I watched this last night, and I told her, I said, "You wait, it's gonna be all over the news tomorrow, it's gonna have them livid. This is gonna make them ticked off like they can't believe it." And it's happening. Yeah, I watched it, damn right I watched it. Damn right I watched. I even voted. Damn straight I watched it. I've formed an opinion about this show. As a television show, it is brilliantly produced. It's a live television show and it is really well produced.

There are life lessons in this show. Here's Bristol Palin, who is she? She's a single mom, for crying out loud. She did not ask McCain to pick her mother. She's the daughter of Sarah Palin and she had to deal with this publicity hungry jerk Levi, whatever his name is, she's been thrust into this, not something she asked for, she's not whining about it. She's offered this position on this show. She doesn't have the slightest idea how to dance, but she decides to do it. And this show's got 20, 25 million viewers, almost as many listeners as this show has and she's out there doing something she's got no clue how to do. She's subjecting herself to mass humiliation, potentially mass humiliation if she is voted off the first week, if she can't dance, and the judges have not been very complimentary to her. The first night the show's on her mom gets booed by the audience. Yeah, Sarah Palin's in the audience, got booed when her name is mentioned, everybody seems embarrassed about that on the production side of the program. The judges, these people can be brutal. Ask Michael Bolton, he was the first one kicked off. He almost started crying, demanded an apology from one of the judges.

My point here is that she didn't ask for any of this. She accepted the challenge. She's doing it. She's having her world turned upside down. She's willing to put herself out there, and she's in the finals, and the left can't stand it. The left can't stand this, and her mother's TV show on TLC's getting higher ratings than any cable news network show. They can't stand it. And throughout all of this character assassination, throughout every attempt to destroy this family, including having a reporter rent the house next to theirs in Wasilla to do a hit piece, they're laughing, they're smiling, and they're having a good time. They're enjoying life as Alaskans and as Americans. It just ticks them off to no end. And that's what makes it enjoyable.

Liberals Freak Out Over Bristol Palin on Dancing with the Stars

We’re going on a road trip. Wanna Come?

Here’s something to chew on:

On top of ruining the future for our children and our grandchildren, nobody wants to hold this president accountable for anything. At least with George Bush even his base was not afraid to call him out from under the carpet when he was wrong about spending.

Doesn’t it seem like much of the population was so content with this “hope and change” president that they voted for him and then decided they didn’t have to watch any more because they got what they wanted. It seems like nobody wants to critique or criticize the direction that we are on because they are too busy defending their vote.

So what? You voted for Barack Obama. Now get your head out of your butt and pay attention to what Obama is doing with your vote. Hold that man accountable and ask questions. Just because he is president doesn’t mean he has the right to run this nation into the ground.

If you gave somebody the keys to your vehicle so they could run an errand and they wrecked your vehicle would you just say to yourself, “oh well?” No! You would want to know who, what, when, where, why and how it all happened. Then you would probably want to know what they were going to do ti fix the problem. Then you might take measures to make sure they did what they said they were going to do. I think you would ask for your keys back too! No?

Some Quotes from Ronald Reagan

Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it and hell where they already have it.

Here's my strategy on the Cold War: We win, they lose.

The most terrifying words In the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.

Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.

I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the U.S. Congress.

The taxpayer: That's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination.

Government is like a baby: An alimentary canal with a big appetite at one end and no sense of responsibility at the other.

The nearest thing to eternal life we will ever see on this earth is a government program.

It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed, there are many rewards; if you disgrace yourself, you can always write a book.

No arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is as formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.

If we ever forget that we're one nation under GOD, then we will be a nation gone under.

-Ronald Reagan

Health and Human Services MY BUTT!

I can't wait for Barack Obama to be OUT of the White House! His entire administration needs to take a hike! ONE HUNDRED and ELEVEN waivers to all the BIG Honchos!? They give BAILOUTS to all the BIG Honchos!? DISGUSTING! They should have never passed the HC bill if they weren't prepared to understand what was in it!

Gee Whiz! How many small business are going to fold and jobs lost because they couldn’t keep up with the high price of this MANDATED HC plan? They’re not looking out for the little guy. They just want you to be convinced that they’re looking out for the little guy.

How many people will wind up in jail for non compliance because this HC bill was shoved down our throats against our will? What do you think a MANDATE is? What gives the government the right to DICTATE MANDATES against the will of the people?

All the wheeling and dealing going on is ridiculous! And on top of that they have the nerve to try and say that the Bush tax cuts are not good for the country. At least allowing the Bush tax cuts to stick will keep people employed. Since when is having a tax break such a bad thing OR do you think it’s okay for our government to keep raising our taxes just because they feel like it! They have already spent money out the kazoo that they didn’t have to begin with!? Are you gonna just kick back and let the government use and abuse your children and your grandchildren? They are the ones that will be stuck with this mess and where will their freedom be?

This administration is so whack if I had a business during times like this I would be operating it as conservatively as possible with the minimum amount of expenses as possible. Didn't Barack Obama take business 101 when he was in college? Donald Trump would do better as the President! Uh Hello!?

This really pisses me off and what pisses me off even more are people trying to deny the BS because defending their vote for Barack Obama is more important.

They need to tear this HC bill apart, keep the good, and get rid of the bad! This is just ridiculous and a HUGE wrong to MANDATE it.

YouTube must have removed that video. Sad, but true.

Remembrance Day 2010

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Psalm 2009

PSALM 2009

Obama is the shepherd I did not want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Republican party.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment for his party's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line,
I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me.
He has anointed my income with taxes,
My expenses runneth over.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will live in a mortgaged home forever.
I am glad I am American,
I am glad that I am free.
But I wish I was a dog .....
And Obama was a tree.

Nancy Pelosi as Minority Leader

If democrats want Nancy Pelosi to be their minority leader then let them have her! She must like getting the boot! You know what? Let her be the minority leader so we can continue to be the majority. She makes the next election doable. C-Span is going to become my new favorite channel watching this circus act!

Arrivederci, Baby!

Hit the Road Jack

...and don't you come back no more, no more, no more, no more!

Let’s be clear about something

Last night was NOT a Republican Victory. If you don’t understand THAT then you’re missing the point and you haven’t been paying attention. I don’t feel extraordinarily victorious. I think it’s because I don’t view last night as a victory. I will be praying that all of Washington get their acts together.

Harry Reid gets to keep his seat by the hair of his chinny chin chin. Barbara Boxer and Barney Frank too. Some good things happened last night. We no longer have to put up with Nancy Pelosi or Alan Grayson and really those that are left are hanging on by a thread. Republicans are hanging on by a thread too. This isn't a victory for them at all. They are not off the hook and Barack Obama better get his head out of his you-know-what and stop messing around.

It's not about (R) and (D). The American people are pissed. They are pissed off at the direction of this country and they are tired of all the excuses. At some point in time people have to unite and put their foot down and remind these politicians that we're not going to put up with the nonsense spewing from either side. Believe it or not both sides suck and that's why we have to make sure these butt heads in Washington stop all the wheeling and dealing. People have really had enough of the entire BS. Look at where we are at as a country!
